Mystery Intel SSD in the Wild?!?

Yesterday I was shopping around for yet another SSD drive...We've been using Intel x25-M drives at work and they're pretty darn nice for the cost, so I headed to newegg because they are usually my starting point for stuff like this.

X25-M

Anywho, I noticed that the X25-M had gotten a few 1-egg reviews which seemed rather odd. I assumed that they were just morons that bought the wrong drive or screwed up a firmware update... but their reviews caught my eye:

Newegg Reviews

Both of these reviews mention being sent a non-standard SATA part with the part # "SSDSA1M080G201" Which is nowhere to be found via Google search. Could it be a new miniSATA or SATA3 drive? Who knows.

Yesterday, some "Open Box" versions of the X25-M popped up on Newegg which could have possibly been these returned mystery drives..

Open Box

Here is the link for the "Open Box" X25-M, Currently out of stock:

Does anyone know WTF "SSDSA1M080G201" is?! I'm tempted to order an "open box" one if it pops back in stock just to see what I get...

It’s been a while…

Yeah, this blog has been neglected... I'm going to revamp it. Enough with the fiery politics. I truly feel that until we hit the reset button on this country (audit the Fed), and hold journalists accountable for reporting truths, that wasting time on politics is just that... wasted time.

I'm going to turn this blog into my personal site, no longer centered around politics. Here, I will be posting cool articles, cool pictures, reviews of stuff, or whatever else I deem worthy.

Hope you all enjoy the new rosswashere.com v2.0 :-)

For now, here is a picture of my guinea pig "Max" eating her birthday salad:
